To speak of #ArtificialIntelligence (#AI) in our days, is to speak of a common term that in a very generic definition and among many that have been developed; we can say that it is the science that manages to replicate, through machines and algorithms, human behavior for problem solving. In a very global aspect, it could be said that it is the analysis of #data, so that through previously recorded behavior, machines can solve problems and/or decisions, just as a human would make them.
And although the concept sounds very technical and possibly even difficult to understand in its entirety, we would be surprised at the number of actions/situations with which we interact day by day in our daily lives, and where the presence of AI becomes more and more indispensable, and the most surprising thing, that the human increasingly requires their service.
We can talk about the impact of AI in different sectors of our society, so here we list just a few examples, which even with the short time of their massive use, have become essential tools for our daily lives, and that are clear examples of the use of AI:
• Search for information on the web: Every time we enter a #browser and search for a term, product and/or service, thousands of search engines are launched that, in a matter of seconds, collate information to provide the searched results. It is here that the AI is present in these engines and can collate #information in seconds to give the most accurate response possible, and based on the activities recorded by different users (sources), information is accumulated for subsequent possible searches.
• Voice Assistants: The names of: #Siri, #Alexa and #Cortana, are today something very common in the daily lives of many people. Since through user voice instructions, these assistants search for requested information, program music and solve requested problems, among many other things. All this thanks to the programming that these assistants have based on AI.
• #Geolocation Systems: Some time ago, being able to reach an unknown address required having a map of the destination and some cunning to be able to interpret it. Nowadays, if you want to reach an unknown destination, it is enough to have applications such as #Waze or #GoogleMaps, to have the shortest route to the desired destination, taking into account traffic, unexpected last-minute situations (road closures), and generate the best route to reach the desired destination.
This is how the next time you use #technology, you can ask yourself and even identify where the AI is acting to make your experience unique. And it will not cease to amaze us what, in the coming years, AI will manage to achieve in the course of each day of our lives.
